Chianti - Fiasco 2010

History of The Fiasco

Tracing back to the 14th century, the fiasco’s notoriety for housing Chianti bottles dates back to the days of Botticelli. The basket, typically made of swamp weed, protects the wine bottle during transportation and handling.

Brilliant ruby color, distinctive bouquet and dry, yet rounded flavor.

Full bodied, dry, simple and enjoyable.

Enjoy with pasta, spicy dishes, roasted meats and ripe cheeses.

Chianti, Tuscany, Italy

Derived from an area recognized as the spiritual and historical heart of the Chianti region — Classico Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantia* (DOCG) — our Benedetto Chianti will make you feel blessed to have familiarized yourself with the flavors distinctive to an opulent Tuscan wine. The DOCG zone is found at the epicenter of the Chianti region and unlike the rest of Chianti’s subzones, the area was awarded with its own DOCG classification, which is the highest type of recognition for quality Italian wines.

Our 2009 vintage is celebrated for its ripe plums, cherries and red fruit bouquet. It delights the palate with a harmoniously dry, lively taste. Its bright crimson color and round tannins linger in a long, peppery finish. Enjoy this well-balanced, full-bodied wine with starters, pasta and meat dishes.
